I’m a native of Bluefield, WV. After serving in the Air Force from 1963-1967, I graduated from Northeast Louisiana University (now University of Louisiana at Monroe) with a BBA in Marketing in 1971. For the next 12 years I worked for the Louisiana Department of Labor before attending Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, where I graduated with a Master of Divinity in December 1985, was appointed an Ordained Deacon of the United Methodist Church in June of that same year, and an Ordained Elder in 1988.
While in seminary I pastored three small, rural churches. Since then I’ve served Fitzgerald and Waldheim UMCs in Covington, LA; St. Luke’s UMC in Baton Rouge, LA; First UMC (now Jennings UMC) in Jennings, LA; First UMC in Amite, LA; Grace UMC in Ruston, LA; Clinton and Clear Creek UMCs in Clinton, LA; and First UMC in Hammond, LA. I’ve been at Aurora since 2007 and look forward to meeting you!
